Bollywood star Vidya Balan is the latest victim of the deepfake menace, as AI-generated videos of her spread like wildfire across social media and WhatsApp. But the actress isn’t staying silent —she’s fighting back.

Taking to Instagram, Vidya set the record straight, warning fans about the fake and misleading clips. Along with her post, she even shared one of the deepfake videos to show the extent of the digital deception.

“There are multiple videos circulating that appear to feature me,” she wrote. “But let me be clear  – these are AI-generated and completely fake.”

The actress made it clear she had zero involvement in creating or sharing the clips and that their content does not reflect her views. She urged fans to stay vigilant, verify information before sharing, and beware of misleading AI-generated content.

Vidya isn’t alone in this battle—many top Indian celebrities have fallen victim to deepfake manipulation, including Rashmika Mandanna, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, and even cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.

With AI fakes on the rise, Vidya’s warning is a wake-up call—don’t believe everything you see online.
