Dubai’s JBR named one of world’s best beaches
Dubai’s JBR beach has been named as one of the top 10 beaches in the world, according to the Golden Beach Award 2024 by global ranking site beachatlas.com. JBR Beach placed 8th in the Golden Beach Award, which ranked the top 100 beaches around the world. According to Beach Atlas, Dubai’s JBR Beach was ranked highly for blending city vibes with beach relaxation and activities, including water sports and rides.
Beach Atlas also noted that JBR Beach is connected to a lively promenade called The Walk that is lined with shops, restaurants, cafes and entertainment, calling it “the perfect spot for those who love the beach but want the thrill of city life, too.”
Travel experts and influencers ranked the world’s top beaches based on a refined shortlist with six sets of criteria, including classic beauty, party and lifestyle, inclusivity for guests, natural diversity, community and cultural significance.
Australia’s popular Bondi Beach placed 16th on the list, while India bagged two spots in the top 100 list with Baga Beach in 35th place and Gokarna Beach in 78th place. The Philippines also bagged two spots with Hidden Beach in 37th place and Nacpan Beach in 65th place.
