Sharjah’s Mleiha Park launches fun summer learning workshops for kids
Mleiha National Park is rolling out a range of interactive workshops designed to spark curiosity and learning among children.
Located in the Emirate of Sharjah, the destination blends history, nature, and adventure, offering young visitors hands-on experiences in a unique desert setting rich in archaeological heritage.
The programmes, open to children aged five and above, cover topics such as ecology, palaeontology, astronomy, and archaeology. Activities include exploring local wildlife, discovering ancient fossils, learning traditional stone tool-making, and even stargazing under clear desert skies.
Set within the Faya Palaeolandscape, the park provides a rare opportunity for children to connect with nature while learning about the region’s deep history.
Popular sessions include the Flora and Fauna Workshop, Fossil Fun Expeditions, and a Space Camp experience, which introduces children to the solar system and night sky observation.
Officials say the initiative aims to inspire the next generation of explorers and scientists by combining education with outdoor adventure in a safe and engaging environment.
Families and schools are encouraged to book the workshops, which also include full-day educational packages with guided tours and site visits.
