Arab world’s king of satire, Bassem Youssef, to perform in Dubai

Egyptian-American comedian Bassem Youssef is set to light up the stage at Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena with his solo comedy act, “Bassem Youssef Live”, on November 16, 2025.
Often called the “Jon Stewart of the Arab world,” Youssef swapped his career as a heart surgeon in Cairo for satire, becoming a household name as host of the region’s biggest political comedy show. With his razor-sharp wit, he built a global reputation for turning everyday absurdities and political turmoil into laughter.
In his Dubai performance, Youssef will dive into themes of cultural identity, resilience, and the humour hidden in life’s contradictions. Fans can expect a mix of personal storytelling and satire that reflects both his Middle Eastern roots and his international journey.
“Dubai has always been a city close to my heart, a place where cultures, ideas, and people from all over the world come together,” Youssef told local media.
“I am so excited to bring this show to the UAE and share stories that I hope will resonate in a city that thrives on diversity and connection.”
