Neeil Ojha, radio presenter on Big 106.2 FM has an impressive mane that attracts much envy. Rather, had. The long locks he had been growing for the past three years have been chopped off and donated towards making wigs for cancer patients. 

Ojha, who has been growing out his hair with the intent of making the donation, cut it on Friday, February 4 – World Cancer Day.  

“The thought came to me while revisiting Yuvraj Singh’s 2011 Cricket World Cup matches while preparing for the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup commentary. All that swag diluted by the harsh effects of Chemo-Therapy was one of the things that occurred to me,” said Ojha, who is UAE’s leading cricket commentator & coach. 

“I have been blessed with good genes & had grown my hair a couple of times for fun, but this time I went in with an intent to give back to society in my own small way.”

Friends of Cancer Patients, an NGO working actively to support cancer patients, guided Ojha through the entire process. The hair he donated will be put to good use in making wigs for those bravely battling the disease.
