Dubai Fitness Challenge set to return with refreshed brand and bold new vision

The Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) is set to return for its ninth edition from November 1 to 30, with a bold new brand identity and an expanded line-up of citywide activities. The announcement was made at a special gathering that brought together government entities, schools, corporate partners, and community organisations to celebrate the initiative’s growing impact on the city’s health and wellbeing.
Launched in 2017 by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, the challenge has grown into a citywide movement that has seen more than 13 million people take part over eight editions.
With 2025 declared the UAE’s Year of Community, this year’s DFC will build on its legacy of inclusivity and transformation, aiming to unite residents and visitors through shared fitness experiences across the city.
“I’m confident this year will once again inspire families, friends, and organisations to embrace a healthier lifestyle together,” said Khalfan Belhoul, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council and CEO of the Dubai Future Foundation.
30-day challenge
The 2025 edition will feature 30 days of free, inclusive activities, fitness villages, community hubs, and daily classes that turn Dubai into an open-air gym for all ages and abilities. Participation has surged by 200% since the first challenge, with the initiative helping to improve physical health, mental wellbeing, and community connection.
New identity, new energy
At the event, Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, unveiled DFC’s refreshed visual identity, featuring bold colours and dynamic lines that symbolise the energy and inclusiveness of the movement.
