Dubai Global Village reopening? Management debunks social media rumours as closure continues
If you were hoping to squeeze in one last visit to Dubai Global Village (GV) this season, you may need to wait. Dubai’s iconic open-air destination remains closed for the time being, with management officially debunking social media claims of an April 13 reopening.
Despite “unauthenticated news” floating around Instagram, Global Village confirmed on its official channels that the venue will remain closed in line with government guidance. Authorities continue to monitor regional conditions, and a safe reopening date has yet to be assessed.
“We truly appreciate your enthusiasm and excitement for Global Village’s reopening. Please stay tuned to our official channels for the latest updates and announcements,” the venue stated on its website.
The current closure has cast a shadow over Season 30. Typically, the Global Village season concludes in early May, and with no confirmed timeline for reopening, it remains unclear if the doors will open at all before the summer break.
Global Village isn’t alone. Other major outdoor hubs, including Ain Dubai and Dubai Parks and Resorts, have also maintained their closures as the region remains under observation.
Visitors are strongly advised to ignore unofficial dates and check globalvillage.ae for verified information.
