Dubai opens new parks and sports plazas in Lehbab and Nazwah
Dubai Municipality has opened new recreational plazas in Lehbab (1), Lehbab (2), and Nazwah, expanding community sports and leisure facilities as part of the Dubai Countryside and Rural Areas Development Master Plan.
The projects come in line with directives from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, to transform Dubai’s countryside and rural areas into some of the most beautiful and distinctive destinations in the world.
New recreational space
The development covers more than 330,000 square feet and includes:
- Football pitches
- Basketball and volleyball courts
- Running tracks
- Outdoor fitness equipment
- Children’s play areas with rubber flooring
- Landscaped seating zones
- Modern lighting and enhanced safety features

Dubai Municipality is currently developing Margham and Al Lisaili parks, which will feature:
- Football pitches
- Sand running tracks
- Landscaped seating areas
- Decorative planting
- Advanced lighting systems
- Smart surveillance cameras
Volleyball courts have already opened as part of the first phase.
The broader countryside development plan aims to preserve the natural character of the desert and rural areas while delivering modern recreational services for citizens, residents, and visitors.
