Dubai is getting ready to turn up the volume on the region’s podcasting scene as the fifth edition of Dubai PodFest takes centre stage on 30 September 2025. Held under the patronage of Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, the event coincides with International Podcast Day, a global celebration of the power of audio storytelling.

Organised by the Dubai Press Club (DPC), this year’s PodFest promises to be the Arab world’s biggest gathering of podcast creators, media houses, and digital content innovators. Expect a day packed with idea-sharing, success stories, and fresh strategies for making Arabic content more competitive on the global stage.

From exploring international trends and best practices to tackling industry challenges, the event aims to turn obstacles into opportunities for growth. It will also shine a spotlight on emerging talent, forge stronger partnerships between media and creative industries, and help Arabic podcasts reach bigger audiences worldwide.

Mona Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and President of the DPC, said:
