Dubai’s homegrown chefs to take over global food stage, and it’s happening next week
Dubai isn’t just cooking for itself anymore; it’s setting the menu for the world
This January, the city’s booming food scene will be on full display as more than 70 homegrown chefs from over 30 nationalities come together for Dubai World Cuisine by Gulfood 2026, running from January 26 to 30 at Dubai World Trade Centre.
From Michelin-starred heavyweights to chefs who built their careers right here in the UAE, the five-day culinary takeover will spotlight how Dubai has evolved from a dining hotspot into a global flavour influencer.
From local kitchens to global recognition
Chefs including Salam Dakkak, Hattem Mattar and collectives like Ojina Jeju will share the stage with some of the world’s biggest culinary names, including Nina Metayer, crowned World’s Best Pastry Chef, and legendary pastry master Antonio Bachour.
Meanwhile, Dubai-based stars such as Brando Moros (11 Woodfire), Daniel Birk (Row on 45), and Solemann Haddad (Moonrise) will demonstrate how global techniques and local storytelling have combined to create food that’s uniquely Dubai.
