Elie Saab struts back into the arena after two years
Lebanese fashion King Elie Saab has returned to the runway after a hiatus of two years with a glittering collection unveiled in Paris.
The new collection features bright hues and vibrant shades that draw influence from the Mediterranean region. Using the local colours and designs as a base, Saab is being lauded for having turned a metaphorical page on the difficult and confusing year past battling the pandemic and the tragic Beirut port incident. Saab’s own home and offices were damaged in the wake of the blast.
The new collection, launched at the Spring/Summer 2022 show in Paris was a gorgeous spectacle of textures and bold prints, embellished by feathers, shimmer, crystals and the couture template he is so well known for.
A homage to the Mediterranean, the 55 looks paid tribute to the sea, the heritage and the essence of the region.
