Emirates, flydubai add new destinations as air travel demand surges

Dubai-based carrier Emirates is set to bolster its presence in Asia with the launch of daily non-stop flights to Shenzhen from July 1, 2025. Additionally, the airline will introduce four weekly flights to Da Nang, Vietnam (from June 2), and three weekly flights to Siem Reap, Cambodia (from June 3), both operating via Bangkok.
This expansion move is particularly significant for trade and tourism, with Shenzhen serving as China’s technology and innovation hub, Da Nang emerging as a fast-growing leisure and business destination, and Siem Reap attracting visitors to the famed Angkor Wat temple complex.
The addition of Shenzhen also marks Emirates’ fourth gateway into mainland China. Similarly, Da Nang and Siem Reap represent key growth markets in Southeast Asia, where rising disposable incomes and increasing international business ties are driving demand for premium air travel.
flydubai Expands Footprint
Meanwhile, Emirates’ sister airline, flydubai, is also accelerating its growth strategy with the launch of three new routes to Iran. Flights to Bushehr and Tabriz will commence on March 13, followed by Qeshm on March 14.
Additionally, flydubai is adding Al Alamein (Egypt) and Antalya (Turkey) as seasonal summer destinations, catering to leisure travellers between June and September. With a focus on affordability and connectivity, flydubai continues to offer passengers ideal travel options.
As international travel demand continues to surge, these strategic expansions position Emirates and flydubai to capture new markets, drive tourism and business travel, and enhance economic ties with key Asian and Middle Eastern regions.
