Emirates launches limited operations: Over 100 flights to depart on March 5–6

Emirates has announced that it is operating a limited flight schedule until further notice as airspace in the UAE begins to gradually reopen.

The airline issued the travel advisory following the partial resumption of regional airspace operations, noting that flights are currently operating on a restricted basis while the situation continues to be monitored.

Priority for passengers with existing bookings

Emirates said customers with earlier confirmed bookings will be prioritised on the limited flights currently operating.

Passengers transiting through Dubai will only be accepted for travel if their connecting flight is confirmed and operating, the airline added.

The airline also urged travellers not to go to the airport unless they have received direct notification from Emirates or hold a confirmed booking on the limited flights.

Over 100 flights scheduled in two days

According to the airline, more than 100 flights are scheduled to depart from and return to Dubai on March 5 and 6. These services will transport passengers to their final destinations and carry essential cargo such as perishables and pharmaceuticals.

Emirates said the situation remains dynamic and under constant review, with schedules being adjusted as conditions evolve.

Travel options for affected passengers

Passengers booked to travel between February 28 and March 31 have been given flexible options by the airline:

  • Rebook flights: Travellers can rebook on another flight to their destination on or before April 30. Customers who booked through travel agents should contact them directly, while those who booked with Emirates can manage their booking online.
  • Request a refund: Customers who booked directly with Emirates can submit a refund request through the airline’s official refund form. Those who booked through agents should contact their travel agency.

The airline has advised customers to check the latest travel updates online and monitor their email for notifications regarding delays, schedule changes, or cancellations before heading to the airport.
