Emirates eyes return to Tel Aviv, but no flights scheduled yet

Dubai’s flagship carrier, Emirates, is reportedly planning to resume flights to Tel Aviv after a two-year pause due to regional conflicts. However, the airline has not yet reserved flight slots or scheduled any services at Ben-Gurion Airport, keeping the restart tentative.

Emirates halted services to Ben Gurion Airport in October 2023 amid regional conflicts. While the airline has not officially announced any restart date, sources indicate that Emirates could resume operations in the coming months.

The Israeli government has confirmed that Emirates’ airport slots at Ben Gurion will be preserved for when flights restart, according to Israel’s ambassador to the UAE, Yossi Shelley. The move is seen as a positive signal for UAE-Israel travel, following a ceasefire in Gaza in October 2025.

During the hiatus, other carriers like flydubai and Etihad continued flights to Tel Aviv, while El Al Israel Airlines benefited from increased demand.

Meanwhile, Dutch carrier KLM has also announced the resumption of flights to Israel, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia following a period of rerouting due to regional tensions. Earlier, the airline had avoided flying over large areas of the Middle East to ensure passenger safety.
