Etihad suspends all Abu Dhabi commercial flights until March 5
All scheduled commercial flights operated by Etihad Airways to and from Abu Dhabi remain suspended until Thursday, March 5.
The airline confirmed that some repositioning, cargo and repatriation flights may operate in coordination with UAE authorities, subject to strict operational and safety approvals.
Do not travel to the airport without confirmation
Passengers are strongly advised not to travel to the airport unless they have been contacted directly by Etihad and instructed to do so.
Access to the airport will be restricted for individuals without confirmed travel documentation.
Important advisory
Etihad has issued the following guidance:
- Check flight status at etihad.com before travelling
- Ensure contact details in your booking are up to date
- Tickets issued on or before February 28, 2026, with original travel dates up to March 10, 2026, may be rebooked free of charge onto Etihad-operated flights up to March 31, 2026
- Guests booked on all Etihad flights until March 10 may request a full refund online or through their travel agent
- Passengers who booked via a travel agent should contact their agent directly
Due to high call volumes, the airline has asked guests to remain patient, noting that response times may be longer than usual. Those seeking refunds are encouraged to use the online refund request form.
Etihad reiterated that safety remains its absolute priority, and commercial services will resume only once all operational and safety criteria are fully met.
