Shahid Kapoor has been spotted in Dubai while shooting for a yet, unnamed film from Maddock Films at Amity University in Academic City.

The film, with Kriti Sanon, is slated to be a rom-com film in a deviation of sorts for Kapoor whose filmography in recent times have been notably serious films such as Kabir Singh, Jersey and the OTT series Farzi on Amazon Prime. In an interview to Pinkvilla, Kapoor said he was looking forward to the film for a welcome change. “I want to do something that’s not so serious now, something that’s a little light. In fact, the film that I am doing right now with Maddock, which has me and Kriti (Sanon) in it, is that light film (with romance and a bit of comedy),” he said.

Details are sketchy but judging from the caption by students on social media, Amity Dubai has become the stage for scenes resembling from Los Angeles airport. There was no sign of Sanon while Kapoor took time to wave to all his fans. He entered the Amity main lobby to a rapturous welcome even though many of the students are on exam leave. Shahid will be next seen in director Ali Abbas Zafar’s upcoming action film Bloody Daddy. The official release date of the film is unknown, but Kapoor is excited about the American-style movie film. Incidentally, Bloody Daddy was partly shot in Abu Dhabi with some action scenes needing a body double of Kapoor’s co-star Katrina Kaif.
