Expect traffic delay on key Dubai roads from 1 pm tomorrow
Dubai’s RTA has warned motorists in the city to expect delays on roads on Saturday, March 25.
The Dubai World Cup horse race and associated celebrations will take place at the Meydan Racecourse on Saturday and the RTA has told motorists in the area to expect delays to journeys.
Some tailbacks can be expected on key roads — including Al Meydan St., Al Khail Road., and Dubai-Al Ain Road — between 1pm and midnight. In a separate message the RTA shared details of its operational plan to keep traffic moving for the event.
It said it will use 4,500 taxis to ease journeys and reduce waiting times. It has also allocated 50 shuttle buses to take people from the Meydan area to Dubai Mall and Deira City Centre after the final race ends.
For motorists attending in their own transport there are 5,000 parking spaces across the Falcon Heritage and 6,400 spaces at the Meydan Racecourse parking lot.
