Fancy a dip in the dark? Abu Dhabi opens its first night beach

If you’re looking to cool off after sunset this summer, Abu Dhabi has just the place. The capital’s first-ever night swimming beach is now open at Marsana East Beach on Hudayriyat Island, transforming beachside evenings into a whole new experience.
Running from July through the end of September, the beach will welcome residents and tourists after dark, with floodlights lighting up the shoreline and lifeguards on duty until 10pm on weekdays and midnight on weekends. It’s a game-changer for families, night owls, and anyone who wants to enjoy the water without the midday heat.
Summer fun, seaside vibes after sunset
The family-friendly beach will feature comfortable loungers, complimentary towels, mini coolers with water, and dedicated relaxation areas. Parents can unwind while the kids splash safely under watchful supervision.
But it’s not just about swimming. Marsana East Beach is also rolling out nighttime activities, themed summer events, and exclusive dining offers from eight eateries along the waterfront. With on-demand food and beverage delivery from Marsana’s cafés and restaurants, your evening swim can come with a gourmet twist.
Part of a bigger Hudayriyat Island experience
From the cycling track to adventure parks, running trails, and beachfront cafes, there’s no shortage of things to do at Hudayriyat.
So whether you’re in a moonlit dip or a family evening by the sea, Marsana East Beach offers a cool and safe way to spend your summer nights.
