Filipina beauty queen Alexie Mae Brooks is ready to change the world

Filipina beauty queen Alexie Mae Brooks has officially taken home the Miss Eco International 2025 crown, and her journey is just getting started. Now, with a global platform, she’s set on using her title to champion environmental awareness and spark meaningful change.
The 21-year-old wowed judges during the grand finals in Cairo, Egypt, where her radiant presence and powerful message stood out among contestants from across the globe. Standing tall at 5’9”, Alexie’s grace was elevated by Ilonggo makeup artist Maki Gu, who helped craft her signature look for the night. But it wasn’t just her poise or her style that captivated the crowd.
With a warm smile and a clear sense of purpose, Alexie charmed the judges with her passion for the environment, her belief in unity, and her drive to uplift others. “Wearing this crown is only the beginning,” she said. “I want to use my voice to raise awareness for environmental issues and spread kindness in the pageant world.”
A Crown for Her Grandmother
For Alexie, the win was deeply personal. In an emotional moment onstage, she dedicated her victory to the woman who shaped her into who she is today — her grandmother.
“This crown is for my grandmother,” she said, holding back tears. “She’s always been my inspiration. I wouldn’t be here without her love and support.”
Building a Global Sisterhood
While the crown may rest on Alexie’s head, she’s not celebrating alone. During the competition, she formed a powerful bond with fellow contestants from Thailand and Indonesia. The trio now proudly calls themselves Trinity Dai, a sisterhood built on friendship, respect, and a shared mission to create a more inclusive and positive pageant community.
“We want to inspire others to embrace unity and discourage toxic fan behaviour,” Alexie shared. “There’s so much beauty in lifting each other up.”
Championing Filipino Culture
Alexie also stole the spotlight in the National Costume segment, winning Best in National Costume for her striking Mangayon ensemble, a golden, eagle-inspired creation by Ilonggo designer Tata Blas Penuela. The look was a powerful tribute to the Philippine Eagle, symbolising strength, freedom, and resilience.
“We are guardians of our natural heritage,” she said proudly. “This costume is a reminder of our duty to protect it.”
Humble Roots, Big Dreams
Born in Lebanon to a Filipino mother and African-American father, Alexie was raised in a loving, values-driven home. Her parent instilled in her the importance of family, hard work, and giving back to the community. From a young age, she dreamed big and worked even harder to make those dreams a reality.
