Flying out of Abu Dhabi? There’s a brand-new convenience you’ll want to know about

Travelling soon? Passengers departing from Abu Dhabi can now skip the airport queues thanks to a brand-new city check-in facility that just opened in the capital.

Morafiq Aviation Services, the team behind remote check-in centres for Zayed International Airport, has launched its latest terminal inside the Etihad Airways Ticketing Office on Muroor Road, right opposite Madinat Zayed Shopping Centre.

The centre is open daily from 10am to 10pm, and currently supports passengers flying with:

  • Etihad Airways
  • Air Arabia
  • IndiGo
  • Wizz Air
  • EgyptAir

And yes, you can check in your bags and collect your boarding pass right there, hours before ever setting foot in the airport. Perfect timing, especially with the UAE National Day long weekend expected to bring big crowds.

How it works

Morafiq lets travellers drop off their luggage between 24 and 4 hours before departure, complete check-in formalities, and breeze through straight to security upon arrival at the airport.

Other Morafiq City Check-In locations

  • Mina Cruise Terminal — 24 hours
  • Mussafah Shabiya-11 — 10am to 10pm
  • Crowne Plaza Yas Island — 10am to 10pm
  • Al Ain LuLu Hypermarket — 10am to 10pm

Check-in fees

  • Adults: Dh35
  • Children (under 12): Dh25
  • Infants (under 2): Dh15
