Flying taxis, drones and vertiports: Dubai Airshow 2025 set to change the way we travel

Dubai is getting ready to take air travel into the future, and it’s happening at Dubai Airshow 2025.
From November 17–21, Dubai World Central (DWC) will transform into the world’s biggest stage for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), putting flying taxis, next-generation aircraft, and futuristic vertiports under the global spotlight.
Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, this year’s Airshow promises the largest and most diverse AAM showcase ever, just as the UAE prepares to launch electric flying taxi services as early as next year.
With more than 1,500 exhibitors, 200 aircraft on display, and 350 expert speakers, the event will bring together the brightest minds in aviation, tech disruptors, and policymakers who are shaping the way we will fly in the years to come.
The Future Is Here
One of the most talked-about experiences will be the AAM Pavilion, where visitors can see full-scale eVTOLs and drones up close, not just models, but aircraft that could soon take off from Dubai’s skies. Exhibitors, including Archer Aviation, Joby Aviation, Autocraft, Eanan and WeFly, will reveal their latest designs, market strategies, and even future vertiport concepts.
“Dubai Airshow’s focus on AAM is a testament to the UAE’s leadership in a new era of flight,” said Anthony Khoury, General Manager – UAE at Joby Aviation. “We’re proud to showcase our progress in making quiet, clean, and fast air travel a reality.”
Adding a homegrown touch, Abu Dhabi’s Autocraft (a K2 brand) will unveil its own eVTOL innovation and recreate a first-class lounge–style vertiport experience for visitors. “We’re committed to building these aircraft at scale in Abu Dhabi, creating industries, jobs, and inspiring Emirati talent,” said Waleed Alblooshi, Director of Corporate Communications at K2.
The Infrastructure Race
It’s not just about futuristic aircraft — the Airshow will also highlight the infrastructure race. Skyports, the global leader in vertiport development, will showcase its work as Dubai edges closer to opening its first commercial vertiport near Dubai International Airport, with three more sites in the pipeline.
“Being part of the AAM Pavilion allows us to show the world why vertiport infrastructure is the backbone of this new ecosystem,” said Damian Kysely, Head of EMEA at Skyports Infrastructure.
Big Names, Big Conversations
The Air Mobility Stage will host star speakers including Adam Goldstein, CEO of Archer Aviation, JoeBen Bevirt, CEO of Joby Aviation, and Omran Malek of Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), alongside Saif Mohammed Al-Suwaidi, Director General of the UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority, who will outline the nation’s roadmap for a connected, sustainable airspace.
With electric air taxis, futuristic drones, and the UAE’s vision for a new era of travel taking centre stage, Dubai Airshow 2025 is set to make headlines worldwide.
