Dubai is hosting the 10th edition of Expand North Star, part of Gitex Global 2025, at Dubai Harbour, bringing together more than 2,000 startups and 1,200 investors from 180 countries. The four-day event runs until October 15.

This year, Brazil serves as the official country partner, while Ecuador and Chile join for the first time, highlighting the event’s growing global reach.

Expand North Star supports Dubai’s strategic goals, aiming to create 30,000 new jobs by 2030 and produce at least 10 unicorns by 2031, positioning the emirate as a global hub for entrepreneurship, innovation, and investment.

With global venture capital investments hitting $368 billion in 2024, the event provides a platform to scale the digital economy, foster partnerships, and unlock growth opportunities in emerging AI-driven markets.

Investors attending represent a combined $1.1 trillion in assets under management, underscoring the event’s global economic impact.
