Global Village will host a Hag Al Leila celebration from Saturday, January 31 to Tuesday, February 3, marking the cherished Emirati tradition observed on the 15th night of Sha’ban, ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.

A four-day activation opposite the Main Stage will feature interactive arts and crafts workshops, traditional games, and special meet-and-greet sessions with The Wonderers. The characters will engage with children, pose for photos, and distribute Hag Al Leila gift pouches.

The festivities will also extend to the Heritage Village, where visitors can experience an authentic traditional setting complete with Emirati clothing and accessories, candy-collection baskets, classic snacks, and decorative items inspired by family celebrations.

A highlight of the programme will be a special Hag Al Leila drone show, scheduled for Sunday, 1 February at 7:35pm, following the Isha prayer break.

The celebration forms part of Season of Wulfa, a new initiative connecting Hag Al Leila, Ramadan and Eid, and emphasising themes of community, reflection and shared cultural traditions.
