Global Village to stage largest drone show of the season as part of 30th anniversary celebrations
Global Village is set to light up Dubai’s skies this week with a massive drone show, as the outdoor attraction marks its milestone 30th season.
A total of 3,000 drones will take to the air on Friday, January 9, delivering a large-scale aerial display above the park’s pavilions. The show is scheduled to begin at 7.15pm, with organisers keeping details of the performance under wraps.
The Wonderers’ Kids Fest Drone Show will be more than just a performance; it will be a celebration in the sky where innovation will meet creativity.
The drone spectacle also signals the start of Global Village’s annual children’s festival. The Wonderers’ Kids Fest will run daily from Friday, January 9, until Sunday, February 15, between 4pm and 10pm. The festival will be hosted near the Kids’ Theatre and is included in Global Village’s Dh25 entry ticket, with no additional charges.
Designed for children aged three to 12, the festival will feature interactive games, live performances and activities aimed at encouraging teamwork, strategy and friendly competition.
The family destination traditionally closes during the summer due to high temperatures. Global Village has confirmed that the final day of its 30th season will be Sunday, May 10, a date announced alongside the season’s opening in October.
