Here’s how you can party hard on new year’s eve – responsibly
It’s almost here, you guys.
New Year’s Eve is just hours away and the Government of Dubai has announced the most important part of the Nea Year’s celebrations – the COVID-19 guidelines.
Dubai’s Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, announced the protocols on December 28.
- Firework shows will be held in 29 different locations to ensure that the crowd of spectators is divided and can gather in a socially-distanced environment.
- Masks must be worn at all times. Failure to do so will result in a Dh3000 fine.
- Social distancing must be maintained.
The committee convened to chalk out a plan to host a safe and responsible Nea Year’s Eve. Efforts are being made to ensure that the progress the UAE has made in the containment of the virus is continued and that the residents protected. The precautionary measures enforced so far have been paramount in curbing the spread of the virus.
The public has been requested to continue cooperating in the ongoing battle against this pandemic. By working together, we can emerge victorious on the other side. Such is life in the post-pandemic world but adherence to rules should be top priority.
