Hollywood heist thriller wraps filming in Abu Dhabi amid star power and iconic landmarks

Abu Dhabi has once again taken the spotlight in Hollywood, with the highly anticipated film Now You See Me: Now You Don’t completing a thrilling 13-day shoot across the city.
The star-studded cast, featuring Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Isla Fisher, Justice Smith, Rosamund Pike, and Morgan Freeman, filmed scenes at some of the capital’s most iconic locations.
Viewers will spot Louvre Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Zayed Bridge, Liwa Desert, and Yas Island hotspots like Ferrari World, Yas Marina Circuit, and W Abu Dhabi when the movie hits cinemas this November.
The shoot was made possible through strong local support, including a 175-member UAE-based crew and six young interns from the Creative Media Authority’s (CMA) creative lab, who got hands-on experience on set.
“Abu Dhabi’s iconic locations and incredible people will be part of what makes this film so memorable,” said Matt Leonetti of Lionsgate.
The film also benefitted from Abu Dhabi Film Commission’s 35% rebate and support from Miral Destinations, which manages several of the shooting venues.
Directed by Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, Venom), the film promises a fresh twist in the beloved heist franchise.
