Khor Fakkan gears up for bigger and better mango festival

Preparations are in full swing for the highly anticipated 4th edition of the Khor Fakkan Mango Festival, set to take place from June 27 to 29, 2025, at Expo Khor Fakkan.
The organising committee, led by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) in collaboration with the Municipal Council of Khor Fakkan and Khor Fakkan City Municipality, recently held a coordination meeting to finalise plans for the vibrant summer event.
Chaired by Khalil Al Mansouri, Director of Government Relations at SCCI, the meeting brought together officials, local farmers, and agricultural stakeholders to discuss logistics, event programming, and community involvement.
“The Mango Festival is more than just a celebration of fruit,” said Al Mansouri. “It reflects our dedication to supporting local agriculture, promoting UAE-grown produce, and building stronger links between farmers, markets, and the public.”
The festival has become a staple event in the Eastern Region’s tourism and agricultural calendar, showcasing the diversity and quality of locally grown mango varieties. It also provides a key platform for training, innovation, and knowledge sharing within the farming community.
This year’s festival promises to be even bigger, featuring:
- Wide participation from local farmers
- Competitions celebrating excellence in mango farming
- Workshops on sustainable farming techniques
- Cultural and family-friendly events to engage visitors
Mohammed Khalfan AlNaqbi, member of the Municipal Council of Khor Fakkan, praised the role of farmers in strengthening the country’s food security system.
“We aim to foster a spirit of excellence and learning among farmers, while also introducing visitors to the rich agricultural heritage of the region,” said AlNaqbi.
The committee also discussed new ideas for interactive displays, heritage showcases, and family activities, aiming to make the festival a well-rounded experience that celebrates both local produce and culture.
