Dubai is set for a laughter-packed evening as Colors Laughter Night returns for its third season. Kicking things off on Friday, September 13, the stage will be taken over by popular comedian Nirmal Pillai, performing his all-new stand-up special South Side Samurai.

Known for his high-energy sets that mix English with punchlines in Malayalam and Tamil, Pillai brings his witty, loud, and unfiltered comedy style to life, promising a night full of non-stop laughs.

According to Pillai, the name South Side Samurai came from a photoshoot he did with long hair; it looked funny and cool, so he stuck with it. But the show delves deeper as it explores identity and personal growth, especially Pillai’s own experiences of growing up in Chennai and Bengaluru. It also looks at how people adapt to different cultures, being pulled between Western and Eastern influences.

Over the years, Colors Laughter Night has hosted some popular comedians, including Gaurav Kapoor, Amit Tandon, Anubhav Singh Bassi, and Rahul Dua. The series has even won a WOW Awards Middle East 2024 Silver for Best Integrated Marketing Program.
