Wearing masks is no longer compulsory in outdoor areas at Expo. However, organizers have requested visitors to wear them in popular “entertainment venues with large attendances”.
Covid-19 preventive measures will continue to be in place, including the mandatory wearing of masks indoors, they pointed out.
All visitors must provide proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test taken in the last 72 hours.
On-site measures include mask-wearing for visitors, staff and participants, and PCR testing facilities for Country Pavilion staff, frontline workers, and entertainers, WAM reported.
The easing of rules about the wearing of masks was included in a series of changes announced by the UAE government on Friday.
