Dubai’s Mushrif National Park has added a new attraction for outdoor enthusiasts, with Dubai Municipality opening a 102-metre bridge designed specifically for hiking and mountain biking.

The new trail is split into two separate pathways, giving hikers and cyclists dedicated routes as they explore the park’s forested landscape.

The project is part of Dubai Municipality’s wider plans to develop Mushrif National Park into a major destination for outdoor recreation, adventure and active lifestyles.

The new bridge has been designed to make it easier for visitors to explore different parts of the park while keeping hiking and mountain biking activities separated.

The development comes as outdoor activities such as cycling, hiking and nature-based recreation continue to grow in popularity across Dubai and the wider UAE.

Bader Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality, said the aim is to create an integrated outdoor destination where nature, adventure and fitness come together.

The new bridge also adds another landmark to Mushrif National Park and gives residents and visitors another reason to explore one of Dubai’s largest forested areas.

Dubai’s cycling network continues to grow

The latest development comes as Dubai continues to expand its cycling infrastructure.

The city has opened 13 new cycling tracks over the past year, as part of longer-term plans to make cycling a more accessible form of transport and recreation.
