Paid parking services have been started in Sharjah’s Mamzar Corniche and Al Khan neighbourhoods.
In an Instagram post, the Sharjah Municipality said from February 14, parking lots in Al Mamzar Corniche Street and Al Khan areas will be paid. The parking spaces will impose the fees on all days of the week, including Fridays as well as holidays.
In Sharjah, availing public parking space for an hour costs Dh2, Dh5 for two hours and Dh8 for three hours.
The new move will apparently help in utilizing the spaces properly. It will check the practice of haphazard parking.

Through the Sharjah digital app, text messaging or seasonal subscriptions, customers will be able to pay the parking fees.
