Pakistan’s Haris Rauf banned for two matches after ICC suspension drama; Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav fined
Pakistan speedster Haris Rauf will be sitting out the next two ODIs against South Africa after the ICC slapped him with a two-match ban for breaching the Code of Conduct during the fiery Asia Cup 2025 final against India.
The ICC confirmed that Rauf’s outburst fell under Article 2.21, which covers actions that bring the game into disrepute. Along with the suspension, he was fined 30 per cent of his match fee and docked two more demerit points, bringing his total to four within 24 months. That automatically triggered a ban.

But Rauf isn’t the only one in the spotlight. India’s Suryakumar Yadav was also fined 30 per cent of his match fee and handed two demerit points for a similar offence. Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan got an official warning and one demerit point for his “gun celebration” during the Super 4 showdown in Dubai.
Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah admitted to a Level 1 offence in the Asia Cup final, accepting a warning and one demerit point, no suspension, though. His teammate Arshdeep Singh was cleared after being accused of making an inappropriate gesture earlier in the tournament.
