Ramadan 2025: Free shuttle buses and other facilities for worshippers at Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

Abu Dhabi is prioritising ease of travel and accessibility for worshippers heading to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque this Ramadan. To ensure smooth mobility and enhanced safety, the Integrated Transport Centre (Abu Dhabi Mobility) has introduced a range of free transport services and traffic management measures, particularly for Taraweeh prayers and during the sacred last 10 nights of Ramadan.

Effortless Connectivity with Free Shuttle Buses

For those seeking a hassle-free way to reach the mosque, Abu Dhabi Mobility has launched 10 free shuttle buses operating between Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and Al Rabdan Bus Interchange. These buses will run throughout Ramadan, offering convenient transportation for worshippers, ensuring they don’t worry about traffic congestion.

Smart Traffic Management for a Smoother Experience

Recognising the surge in visitors during Ramadan nights, Abu Dhabi Mobility has implemented an intelligent traffic monitoring system around the mosque. Digital surveillance cameras will track congestion and allow for a swift response to any traffic disruptions. Additionally, mobile electronic signs and variable message boards (VMS) will guide visitors to the most suitable parking areas and available routes, reducing wait times and ensuring a seamless flow of vehicles.

To further enhance safety and efficiency, on-ground traffic inspectors will be stationed at key intersections to manage traffic flow, swiftly addressing any challenges faced by motorists.

Taxis & Road Assistance for Added Convenience

For those relying on taxis, 100 taxis will be deployed daily, with numbers increasing in the final ten days of Ramadan when demand is at its highest. Road Service Patrols (RSP) and vehicle towing services will also be on standby to ensure rapid clearance of any traffic incidents, preventing unnecessary delays.
