Ramadan in Dubai 2026: 30 Days of night markets, fireworks and community events across the city

Dubai has officially launched its month-long “Ramadan in Dubai” programme, bringing 30 days of cultural, community and lifestyle events to neighbourhoods and major destinations across the emirate.

Timed with the start of the holy month, the citywide initiative highlights the spiritual and social significance of Ramadan in the UAE,  a time centred on reflection, generosity and togetherness.

What is Ramadan in Dubai

The programme is part of Dubai’s wider seasonal campaign, Al Wulfa,” which runs from the mid-Shaaban celebration of Hag Al Laila through to Eid Al Fitr. The initiative promotes heritage traditions while encouraging cross-cultural engagement and community gatherings.

Ahmed Al Khaja, Chief Executive of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), said the focus this year is on simple, inclusive activities integrated into everyday life.

What to Expect Across Dubai

Residents and visitors can look forward to:

  • Ramadan Street Food Festival in Sheikh Hamdan Colony
  • Seasonal night markets and majlis gatherings
  • Heritage-inspired experiences and storytelling events
  • Family activities at City Walk, Global Village, Expo City Dubai and Dubai Festival City
  • Ramadan fireworks at Al Seef and Dubai Creek
  • Drone light shows and decorative citywide lighting continue through Eid

Hotels, malls and restaurants are also rolling out:

  • Special iftar and suhoor experiences
  • Extended retail hours
  • Ramadan-themed promotions

Government entities and partners will additionally host:

A Citywide Ramadan Atmosphere

With decorative lanterns, large-scale visual installations and nightly gatherings after Maghrib prayer, the programme positions Ramadan as one of Dubai’s most coordinated cultural seasons of the year.

The celebrations will continue throughout the holy month, leading up to Eid Al Fitr.
