RIDE FOR FREE: CAREEM JOINS RTA FOR DUBAI RIDE ON NOVEMBER 10
In an exciting move for Dubai Ride participants on Sunday, November 10, 2024, Careem and the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will be offering free bike rentals for residents and tourists alike. Participants can pick up their bikes from two locations — Entrance A (Museum of the Future, Trade Center St.) and Entrance E (Lower FCS, Financial Centre Rd.) — by providing the code DR24 to claim their free ride.
Bikes will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis to those who arrive early.
In a continued effort to promote cycling, Careem has partnered with the RTA for the third straight year to support the Dubai Ride event. Abdulrahman Mohammad Aljanahi, Director at the RTA and head of the sports team, noted, “The RTA’s mission is to foster a more bike-friendly environment in Dubai and encourage the use of sustainable transport. Our ongoing collaboration with Careem Bike is central to supporting key priorities such as sustainability, health, safety, and customer satisfaction.”
“Supporting the RTA’s vision for an inclusive Dubai Ride experience is something we’re excited about. Offering free bike rentals ensures the event is more inclusive and convenient for everyone, including those who don’t have their own bike,” said Sami Amin, Senior Director of Operations at Careem.
Returning for its fifth edition, the region’s largest community cycling event, Dubai Ride, invites participants of all ages and abilities. The routes for the event will open at 5am, with cyclists beginning their journey at 6:15am and concluding by 8am.
