Run for a reason: UAE residents invited to make history at Cancer Run 2026
Lace up your running shoes and bring the whole family along, Cancer Run 2026 is returning to Abu Dhabi and Dubai this February with a powerful goal: Raising cancer awareness while attempting a Guinness World Records title.
This event aims to set a new world record for the most nationalities participating in a cancer awareness run during its Abu Dhabi edition on February 1, followed by a second community run in Dubai on February 7.
The Abu Dhabi race will take place at Hudayriyat Island, while the Dubai event will be hosted at Dubai Festival City, welcoming runners of all ages, families, schools and community groups from across the UAE. The runs are supported by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the Dubai Sports Council.
More than just a run, the initiative is about solidarity, awareness and prevention. It aligns with national efforts to promote early cancer screening, healthy lifestyles and preventive healthcare, reminding families that small steps today can make a life-saving difference tomorrow.
Speaking about the initiative, Harmeek Singh, Founder and Chairman of Plan B Group, said the event is designed to raise awareness and highlight the importance of early precautions that can save lives, with this year’s Guinness World Records attempt adding an extra layer of unity and purpose.
Now in its third year, Cancer Run has grown into a community-driven platform that combines fitness, education and advocacy, encouraging families to talk openly about health and prioritise regular check-ups.
