The developers of the UAE’s first casino resort have given a first look and new name for the game-changing multi-billion-dollar property. Wynn Resorts has announced the highly anticipated resort coming to Ras Al Khaimah will be called Wynn Al Marjan Island.
The resort is set on Al Marjan Island, a group of four islands, and will feature approximately 1,500 rooms, suites, and villas, along with a range of entertainment, dining, and wellness options. The development’s estimated cost is approximately $3.9 billion, and it is expected to boost the Emirate’s growth as a global tourist destination while generating substantial value for the economy through tourism and job creation.
Visitors can look forward to a premium luxury experience, including entertainment and gaming amenities, and a range of other facilities, including innovative spa and wellness experiences, a state-of-the-art events centre, and a high-end shopping esplanade.
According to Colliers International, the investment management specialists, the resort could bring 5.5 million tourists to Ras Al Khaimah by 2030, significantly exceeding the target number of 3 million.
The resort’s construction began earlier this year, with foundation work already underway. The development will pave the way for the accelerated growth of allied business sectors as well as accelerate the Emirate’s growth as a major global tourist destination.
