This could be your big break: UAE wants you to curate its Venice Biennale exhibit

Are you an architect, designer, artist, historian, or researcher with a unique perspective on the UAE’s architectural story? The National Pavilion UAE is inviting proposals to curate the UAE’s exhibition at the 20th International Architecture Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia, which will take place from May to November 2027 in Venice, Italy.

Open to creatives worldwide, especially those with experience in the UAE or the MENASA region, this is your chance to present an untold story from the UAE’s architectural discourse to a global audience.

What they’re looking for:

  • Innovative curatorial concepts rooted in local and regional narratives
  • Proposals that reflect the Biennale’s mission of global idea exchange
  • Work that speaks to the past, present, and future of architecture in the UAE

Who can apply:

Applicants can be UAE citizens, residents, or international professionals with relevant ties to the region. Team applications are also welcome; however, please ensure that at least one member is based in the UAE.

Shortlisted candidates will move to a second round to develop full proposals.

Information sessions will be held soon in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Stay tuned for dates.

Deadline to apply: September 30, 2025, midnight UAE time
Details and submissions: Go to  nationalpavilionuae.org/open-call

This is more than a curatorial opportunity; it’s a platform to shape how the world sees architecture from the UAE.
