UAE-India travel: Fujairah Airport launches IndiGo flights to Mumbai and Kannur

Fujairah International Airport marked a major moment on Thursday with the launch of IndiGo Airlines’ new flights to Mumbai and Kannur, India. These are the airport’s first direct flights to India, creating exciting new travel opportunities between the two countries.
The first flight was welcomed with an official ceremony attended by top officials from both the UAE and India, including the Indian Consul-General in Dubai and leaders from Fujairah’s aviation and tourism sectors.
This new partnership with IndiGo aims to boost tourism, trade, and economic ties between Fujairah and India. It also makes it easier for the large Indian community in the UAE to travel home more conveniently.
Officials highlighted how these new routes will help showcase Fujairah’s natural beauty, cultural heritage, and growing appeal as a travel destination. The flights also open up access to more places in Asia through IndiGo’s wide network, including the Maldives, Bangkok, Singapore, and Colombo.
To make things even easier, Fujairah Airport now offers free shuttle services from all seven Emirates, making travel more convenient for passengers across the UAE.
