UAE-India travel: SpiceJet is launching direct flights from Ahmedabad to Sharjah
Flying between India and the UAE just got easier. Indian budget carrier SpiceJet is set to launch non-stop flights between Ahmedabad and Sharjah, effective February 5, offering travellers a new, direct option between the two cities and further enhancing air connectivity between India and the UAE.
With Sharjah joining its route map, SpiceJet will now serve two UAE destinations, Sharjah and Dubai, as part of its growing international expansion. The airline says the move is aimed at meeting rising travel demand while offering more convenient connections to the Middle East.
5 days per week flights
The Ahmedabad–Sharjah service will operate five days a week, excluding Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and is expected to be a big win for business travellers, tourists, and the large Indian expatriate community in the UAE who regularly travel between the two countries.
Ahmedabad, a major economic and cultural hub, has strong trade links and deep people-to-people ties with the UAE, making Sharjah a strategic addition to SpiceJet’s network. T
Announcing the launch, SpiceJet Chief Business Officer Debojo Maharshi said Sharjah’s status as the UAE’s cultural capital and its role as a regional hub make it a valuable destination for the airline.
Known for its museums, historic mosques and ancient archaeological sites along the eastern coast, Sharjah continues to attract travellers looking for culture, history and easy access across the UAE, now just a direct flight away from Ahmedabad.
