UAE petrol prices to increase for March, cost of diesel to be slashed
The UAE has announced fuel prices for the month of March. The Fuel Price Committee hiked prices of all three variants, Super 98, Special 95 and E-Plus, by four fils to Dh3.09, Dh2.97 and Dh2.90 litre. The petrol prices increased by 4 fils per litre.
The UAE’s Ministry of Energy first began setting UAE fuel prices based on average global prices in August 2015. Prior to that, the price of petrol in the UAE was subsidised by the government, which shielded consumers from global fluctuations in the cost of petrol.
