UAE Travel: New border crossing to ensure smoother journeys to Oman

In a move set to energise regional connectivity, the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) has swung open the doors at the brand-new Wam border crossing in Fujairah as of Wednesday, February 26, 2025.
The new facility is set to facilitate travel and trade between the UAE and Oman, promising faster, smoother journeys for both passengers and businesses alike.
The launch, witnessed by Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili – ICP Director-General – marks a bold new chapter in cross-border cooperation.
“This is a game-changing move for our region,” declared Major General Al Khaili.
“The new Wam crossing is a pivotal step in strengthening our ties with Oman, paving the way for boosted economic and cultural exchange.”
