Hold onto your umbrellas, folks. The UAE is in for a wild weather ride this Sunday, March 2. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued alerts for fluctuating conditions that are sure to keep everyone on their toes.
Rainy Skies Ahead
Residents, especially in the northern and eastern regions, should brace themselves for partly cloudy to cloudy skies with a chance of light rain. Don’t be caught off guard — keep that rain gear handy!
Winds Picking Up
It’s not just the rain you need to watch out for. Moderate northeasterly winds are expected to strengthen over the sea, reaching speeds up to 40 km/h. These gusts might kick up some dust, reducing visibility, so drive with caution.
Choppy Waters
Planning a trip to the beach or setting sail? Think again. The Arabian Gulf is forecasted to be rough, especially in the morning, before calming down later in the day. The Oman Sea isn’t faring much better, with conditions expected to be rough throughout the day.
Temperature Check
Despite the unsettled weather, temperatures will remain pleasant. In Abu Dhabi, expect highs around 25°C and lows near 18°C. Dubai will see similar conditions, with daytime temperatures reaching 25°C and nighttime lows around 19°C.
Stay Safe and Informed
Keep an eye on official NCM (https://www.ncm.gov.ae/) bulletins and adjust your plans accordingly.
