Where to see fireworks for Eid Al Fitr in Dubai and Abu dhabi

The Eid al Fitr break is expected to begin on Thursday April 20. The Islamic festival is when the UAE comes together to celebrate after a month of fasting. The UAE pulls out all stops to ensure that its citizens and expatriates are part of the festivities in as grand a way as possible. As part of the celebrations, fireworks will light up the sky for everyone to admire. Are you planning to see fireworks this Eid?

Here are some of the places that have confirmed the dates and times for their fireworks shows.

Dubai :

Bluewaters Island and The Beach JBR

Bluewaters Island and The Beach, JBR are promising an unforgettable Eid celebration experience for the entire family. Both areas are top vantage points to catch the marvelous fireworks display on Saturday April 22.

Dubai Parks and Resorts

The destination with a number of theme parks will put on two fireworks shows on April 22, starting at 7pm and 9pm.

Other activities include a light show at MotionGate, meet-and-greets with Emirati cartoon characters at Lapita Hotel, and Dino Mania, which will start on April 21 at 8pm and continue for the duration of the Eid weekend.

Global Village :

Global Village-goers can expect to see a fireworks display at 9pm on Friday April 21 and Saturday April 22. With the attraction set to close at the end of the month, Eid is a good excuse to head down before it shuts its doors for summer.

Abu Dhabi :

Yas Island

Yas Island is hosting a number of celebrations across its theme parks and hotels, including a fireworks display, which can be viewed from Yas Bay at 9pm on the first and second nights of Eid.

Hudayriyat Island

The capital’s adventure and leisure destination will be lit up by fireworks at 9pm on April 22. If you head there, be sure to check out the family-friendly Circuit X adventure park or the obstacle course at OCR Park.

Al Mugheirah Bay

Another Modon development that will host a fireworks show is Al Mugheirah Bay in Abu Dhabi’s Al Dhafra region, which is about a 90-minute drive from the main city.

The skies over Khor Al Bazim lagoon in the heart of the waterfront retail and residential community will light up at 9pm on April 21.
