Bollywood’s Biggest Night: ‘Laapataa Ladies’ steals show at IIFA 2025

Jaipur turned into Bollywood’s ultimate party destination over the weekend as the IIFA Awards 2025 celebrated its grand Silver Jubilee edition in style! The star-studded event kicked off on Saturday night, honouring OTT’s finest, before turning the spotlight on Bollywood’s biggest names.

And the undisputed champion? Kiran Rao’s ‘Laapataa Ladies’ made history with a jaw-dropping 10 awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actress (Nitanshi Goel).

Adding to the night’s thrill, Kartik Aaryan snagged the Best Actor trophy for his electrifying performance in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Meanwhile, Raghav Juyal stole the show as the Best Villain for his chilling act in Kill.

But it wasn’t just about awards — Bollywood’s biggest icons set the stage on fire. Shah Rukh Khan wowed fans with an electrifying performance, dancing to his latest hits and recreating a ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’ moment with Madhuri Dixit, leaving the audience nostalgic and thrilled, while Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor’s on-stage reunion sent fans into a meltdown.

Shahid was quizzed about posing with Kareena, his former co-star and partner. ”It’s nothing new; we keep running into each other here and there,” he said. Their nostalgic moment reignited memories of their iconic on-screen pairing in Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Jab We Met’.
