Can you guess why 50 of the region’s best restaurants are coming to Abu Dhabi this February?

Food lovers, mark your calendars, Abu Dhabi is set to become the region’s culinary capital once again this coming February 2026.

The Middle East & North Africa’s 50 Best Restaurants awards will celebrate the region’s top chefs, restaurants, and culinary innovators, all gathering for an exciting week of food-filled events, talks, and tastings. It marks the fourth time Abu Dhabi has hosted the awards, reinforcing its growing reputation as a global dining destination.

Organised in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), the event will shine a spotlight on the emirate’s diverse and evolving dining scene, shaped by Emirati heritage and a melting pot of international influences.

Following the success of previous editions, the awards, sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna, are returning to the UAE capital for their fifth edition on February 3.

Last year, Orfali Bros in Dubai was crowned The Best Restaurant in the Middle East & North Africa, taking the top spot for the third consecutive year. Restaurants from 11 different cities across the region also made the list.

While the official ranking reveal on February 3 will be the week’s biggest highlight, the programme will feature plenty more for food enthusiasts to savour:

  • #50BestTalks 2026 will return with thought-provoking discussions from leading culinary minds.
  • Flavours of 50 Best, a ticketed evening brunch open to the public, will serve dishes from some of the world’s top chefs.
  • 50 Best Signature Sessions will see visiting chefs collaborate with Abu Dhabi’s best restaurants for limited-edition dining experiences.

And that’s not all, several special awards will be revealed in the lead-up to the ceremony, including the Champions of Change Award, the Art of Hospitality Award, and the One To Watch Award.

The week will culminate in the grand awards ceremony on February 3, where the Best Restaurant in the Middle East & North Africa 2026 will be announced, alongside coveted honours such as the Best Female Chef Award and the Icon Award.

So, whether you’re a professional chef, a passionate foodie, or simply someone who loves great dining experiences, Abu Dhabi is the place to be this February.
