Dubai has come a long way.
From a minuscule fishing village, the city has evolved into a sprawling, magnificent oasis. And now, this evolution has placed Dubai as Tripadvisor’s most popular destination in the world for 2022.
The awards honour travellers’ favourite destinations, hotels, restaurants, things to do, and beyond, based on the reviews and opinions collected over 12 months.

And that’s not all. Dubai won over cities like London, Rome, and Paris.

Duh. Of course, it would.

Writing about Dubai’s first place, Tripadvisor called the city a:

“ destination that mixes modern culture with history, adventure with world-class shopping and entertainment. Catch a show at the Dubai Opera, see Downtown from atop the Burj Khalifa and spend an afternoon along Dubai Creek exploring the gold, textile, and spice souks.”
