Culinary exhibition kicks off in Sharjah with over 2,000 chefs and a global feast of foods

The UAE’s culinary spotlight is on Sharjah this week as ExpoCulinaire 2025 – a food service and hospitality exhibition — opened its doors at Expo Centre Sharjah, bringing together more than 2,000 chefs from around the world.
Running until May 23, the seventh edition of the event is hosted by Purple Kitchen Events and backed by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI). It showcases cutting-edge culinary trends, smart kitchen technologies, advanced baking tools, and high-end hospitality equipment—all under one roof.
The exhibition was officially inaugurated by Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI, alongside key officials, including Waleed AbdelRahman BuKhatir, Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, and other public and private sector leaders.
Visitors to the expo can explore interactive pavilions featuring live cooking demos, signature dishes, global ingredients, and innovative tools redefining how professional kitchens operate. From smart fridges to next-gen tableware, the event is a must-visit for chefs, hoteliers, caterers, and restaurateurs.
A centrepiece of the event is the 28th Emirates International Salon Culinaire, the largest culinary competition in the region, hosted by the Emirates Culinary Guild. It shines a spotlight on emerging and established talent, with chefs competing in various categories that celebrate technique, creativity and international flavours.
Open daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, ExpoCulinaire 2025 also features curated zones highlighting diverse culinary cultures and food innovations, offering a feast for both the palate and the imagination.
