Dubai says goodbye to Museum of Illusions at Al Seef
After eight years of optical tricks, gravity-defying rooms and viral photo moments, the Museum of Illusions at Al Seef has closed permanently.
The interactive attraction, which opened in 2018, became a popular stop for Dubai residents and tourists drawn to its upside-down rooms, infinity mirrors and mind-bending exhibits.

News of the closure has prompted a wave of nostalgia online, with visitors sharing old photographs and memories from their visits.
But the museum’s final message suggests the story may not be over.
‘See you again soon’

In its farewell message, the attraction left visitors with a cryptic “See you again soon”, immediately prompting speculation about what could come next.
The message has fuelled questions over whether the Museum of Illusions could return at another location in Dubai or reopen with a redesigned concept.

No new location or reopening date has been officially confirmed so far.
For now, the closure marks the end of the Al Seef chapter for an attraction that spent nearly a decade giving visitors a playful dose of optical illusions and plenty of social-media-ready moments.
