Eid in Dubai: Virtual celebrations organised for workers with raffles, prizes and games
Dubai’s General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs is organising a special virtual celebration for workers in the emirate this Eid Al Fitr, aiming to share the festive spirit and recognise their contributions to the city’s growth.
Held under the theme “Eid Al-Fitr… Let’s Celebrate Together,” the initiative is part of broader community efforts to promote social cohesion and a culture of giving.
The two-day virtual event is designed especially for the workforce, acknowledging their vital role in supporting Dubai’s development journey.
Authorities say the initiative reflects the emirate’s commitment to inclusivity and appreciation, ensuring that all segments of society can take part in Eid celebrations.
Prizes, games and entertainment
Participants can look forward to a variety of interactive and entertainment segments, including:
- Raffle draws with prizes such as cars, gold bars, travel tickets, and mobile phones
- Interactive games and competitions
- Entertainment programmes designed to spread festive joy
Access through app
The celebration will be streamed the “Blue Connect” application, a dedicated digital platform for workers that offers entertainment content, videos, and interactive features.
This allows participants to join the festivities from anywhere and be part of the Eid experience virtually.
The initiative is backed by several partners and sponsors, including du, flydubai, and Malabar Gold, along with other supporting organisations contributing to its success.
Officials emphasised that the event is a way to honour the workforce and highlight their essential role in building and sustaining Dubai’s growth.
They added that such initiatives help strengthen community bonds, promote a sense of belonging, and create a more positive and inclusive environment for workers across the emirate.
With a mix of entertainment, rewards, and community engagement, the virtual celebration aims to ensure that the joy of Eid reaches everyone, especially those who play a key role in shaping the city every day.
